Football Clubs and Coaches
Looking for a NFA SOCCERSKILLS Coach
NFA SOCCERSKILLS have taken the hard work out of planning, delivering and evaluating a football session and it can be enjoyed by the players, both girls and boys, of all abilities. The scheme also raises additional finance for your club, as NFA SOCCERSKILLS awards are purchased at £1.50 and we recommend they are sold to parents/guardians for £3, retaining the surplus for your clubs funds. More than that, it works towards the KS1, 2 and 3 attainment descriptors of the National Curriculum.
Over 8 professional clubs "Football in the Community" schemes programme have registered and started NFA SOCCERSKILLS prior to launching the scheme.
The NFA SOCCERSKILLS manual provides all of the information you will need to deliver a quality football session without needing extensive resources.
- The scheme can be run anywhere you do not need goal posts or even a football pitch!
- It's easy to use and structured similar to a normal activity lesson plan
- Support the technical skill development of junior footballers (4-14 year old) skills
- Tailored to an individual child's ability. They don't even need previous football experience but it also supports the development of experienced players
- Be sensitive to LTAD (Long Term Athletic Development) and differentiation can easily be achieved through applying STEP (Space Task Equipment People) principles. Delivered throughout our 5 core skills development scheme.
- Motivates, encourages and rewards individual participation and development
Our scheme has been designed with significant input from junior footballers, coaches, PE teachers and professional football coaches, who have participated in over 4,000 trials. As active coaches and parents we recognise and support your aspirations to actively contribute towards your player's development. We believe that NFA SOCCERSKILLS actively contributes towards achieving your goals.
“A lot of parents drop off their children so they can go shopping, not certain they really want to be here? A scheme like SOCCERSKILLS will instantly motivate them therefore they are easier to coach”

- Objectives and goals of the session
- Equipment required including preparing for the specific skill being developed

All junior footballers participating in the NFA SOCCERSKILLS scheme receive structured coaching, that rewards and encourages skills development.
